Born in Austria, Martin has lived in New Mexico since 1962. After studying music at the University of New Mexico, Martin went on to a professional career in music performing, touring, recording and arranging for a number of local, national and international bands including Roberto Griego, Lorenzo Antonio, Sparx, and Little Joe y La Familia. In addition, Martin has appeared as a guest with bands ranging from Foghat to the Pointer Sisters to Pete Escovedo. More recently, Martin has been a member of a number of local salsa bands including Salsa Picosa, the Salsa Maria Orchestra, and Salsa Suite.
